Bonggo Album Turns Gold

Viva Records has officially declared Olongapo City Mayor James "Bong" Gordon, Jr.'s Bonggo Album a Gold Record on the 23rd of January at the Philippine Stock Exchange Center, Ortigas Center, Pasig City.

Mayor Gordon, with Olongapo First Lady and Zambales Vice Governor Anne Marie Gordon, received the Gold Record Award from Vic del Rosario of Viva Records.

Bonggo Album was a product of Mayor Gordon's passion for music. Some of his original compositions are Fighting for Excellence, Sibit-Sibit, Pilipinas Bayan Ko, Balimbing, May mga Tao, Pinoy Check ng Check at Songs of Love.

Meanwhile, Mayor Gordon expressed his gratitude to those who supported his album especially the Olongapeños and the members of Bonggo Band.

Mayor Gordon has been a member of Bonggo Band since his high school days. He was also a member of Ateneo Glee Club during his college days and of Houseboys during his term as Congressman.

Bonggo Album was released by Gapo Records and distributed by Viva Records.
