CITY COOPERATIVE DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL

The City Development Cooperative Council (CCDC) held an organizational meeting on September 18, 2008 at the FMA Hall of the Olongapo City Hall. Present during the meeting were over sixty (60) stakeholders of the cooperative sector of Olongapo to elect leaders and representatives for the council’s different committees.

The meeting was led by City Cooperative Specialist Edmundo Engao, Beneficio Blones of Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Region 3 and City Livelihood and Cooperative Development Office (LCDO) head Aileen Sanchez.

City Mayor James ‘Bong’ Gordon Jr. was also present as the guest of honor. In his message, he encouraged the CCDC to strengthen the cooperatives to help Olongapeños in their livelihood needs.

Also present during the meeting were Tony Reyes of Landbank of the Philippines, Elenita Ordonio, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Provincial Caretaker of Zambales and Olongapo and Didith Montevirgen, Provincial Officer of Department of Science and Technology (DOST).

Below is the list of the elected officials of the CCDC:
Honorary Chairperson: Hon. Mayor James ‘Bong’ Gordon Jr.
Chairman: Aileen Sanchez: LCDO Officer
Co-Chairman: Edmundo Engao- CDA
Vice Chairman: Dr. Valentino Ola- Professional Group MPC
Secretary: Cesar Santiago: Coop Union of Olongapo and Zambales
Treasurer: Leticia Doropan- BMPC
Auditor: Merlinda Ramos-OMPC

The meeting was held in accordance with Memorandum Circular 2007-08 or the ‘Cooperative Development Council (CDC) Organizational Policy of 2007. It aims to boost and enhance the city’s livelihood sector.
