Maddela is new SBMA chief security

SUBIC Bay Freeport -- The Law Enforcement Department handling the security and peacekeeping force here has a new head: retired Gen. Orlando M. Maddela, Jr., former Philippine National Police Chief of Staff for Internal Affairs Services.
Maddela has 31 years of military and police experience from various assignments in Cotabato City, Bicol Region, Sorsogon, Metrocom, Malacañang, Bulacan, Aurora, Manila, Palawan, Davao and Olongapo City as city police director.
In Olongapo City, Maddela led the police force in working closely with the community and the city government.
At Monday’s flag raising ceremony, Maddela was introduced to Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority employees. SBMA Administrator Armand C. Arreza welcomed and introduced him to the Freeport managers.
“I’ve been there for 31 years of my career in the service. Wala po akong pwedeng ipangako kundi I’m going to do the tasks assigned to me and I’m going to do it with all my heart, all dedication and with the best of my ability,” he said.
Maddela replaces retired Col. Jaime C. Calunsad, former Intelligence Officer of the Army.
