25 RHBs surrender

CAMP Conrado Yap, Iba Zambales – At least 25 members and sympathizers of the Marxist-Lenninist Party of the Philippine-Rebolusyonaryong Hukbong Bayan surrendered to government authorities on Easter Sunday.

Provincial police director Senior Supt. Rolando B. Felix, identifies the surrendered who are from remote barangays Babangcal, Pamibian and Taposo in Candelaria town. They are Mystica Flores-Ednave, Candelaria Ecalnir, Fernan Ejan, Samuel Ebalobo, Samuel Ednilao, Eduardo Blanco, Carlo Eclarino, Felicito Kempis, Crisostomo Echon, Glen H. de Guzman; Rosario Austria, Rosario E. Elayda, Arnel Eala, Paquito Ebilane, Manuel Ednalig, Tirso Egalla, Rudy Ellago, Joey Ebal, Jimson Sanchez, Alfredo Buccat, Joseph Buccat, Tirso Buccat, Melvin Echon and Larry Mipa.

Felix said the group surrendered after experiencing hardship in the movement and upon learning that the provincial government under Gov. Amor Deloso has a renewed commitment to the “rebel returnee” program dubbed “Pakikiisa Para Sa Kapayapaan Upang Umusad ang Pag-Unlad ng Bayan.”
